TYPE 2: Fiber to Fiber (Recycled Polyester)
In addition to post-consumer PET bottles, Everest also uses waste yarn from weaving factory to produce recycled polyester. The waste yarns are smashed, melt and re-polymerization to make into masterbatches by supplier Evergreen Recycle Environmental and then the masterbatches are spun into recycle yarn by Everest. Also, the Everest, the only vertically-integrated textile company, turn recycle yarn into fabrics. The physical properties, dyeability and quality of recycled yarn are the same as virgin polyester. The recycling will be very helpful to the emission reduction and fit in with the "Cradle to Cradle" spirit.
