Accelerating Net Zero Emissions: 12 Textile Companies Recognized for Excellence

In order to achieve the goal of net-zero carbon emissions by 2050 and address the challenges posed by the upcoming implementation of carbon taxes, the 21st Century Foundation collaborated with the Textile Industry Development Institute of the Republic of China to evaluate domestic textile-related industries. The award ceremony for the Net Zero Industry Competitiveness Awards was held on the 3rd, with the presence of several domestic textile companies listed on the stock exchange, demonstrating the industry's commitment to achieving net-zero emissions.
Professor Liang, Chi-Yuan, one of the initiators of the awards and an economics professor at Chung Yuan Christian University, explained that the Net Zero Industry Competitiveness Awards are scored based on the net-zero performance of each enterprise, with categories including Excellence, Outstanding, and Exceptional Awards. This year, a total of 12 companies received awards, with Everest Textile being honored with the Excellence Award.
